EDIT: This is happening and will be coming in the next couple of weeks. It has already been written, I just need to make some tweaks here and there. Feel free to continue sending information my way.
I've been requested to write a piece on sexism against females within the "Friendship is Magic" fandom. Specifically, I will be looking into how males 'control' the fandom and how females tend to be marginalized. If you are female and have ever felt oppressed, put down, alienated or anything similar in this fandom, and you would like to be part of an essay on the issue (anonymously), then I would like to know your story. Perhaps you've been told you can't be a brony if you're female? Or, perhaps, you dislike how the media constantly refers to bronies as males?
If you have anything you would like to contribute, send me a note entitled 'Essay' and provide whatever information you feel comfortable in giving.
I frequently receive questions for my 'Brony Advice' column from females in the fandom who feel victimized in one way or another by males. I wish to see how this oppression is manifested in real cases, in the hope of drawing a conclusion based on reasoned evidence. Drop me a note if you'd like to be involved.
Thanks!

Men telling Woman that they can't be part of a fandom for a little girls show.
However, some of the male mlp fans can be quite rude and insulting, especially about weight of mlp cosplayers if they are overweight or their skin color. (I'm not saying only males do. I've seen females insult mlp cosplayers the same way, but not as often.)
There used to be a tumblr about this kind of stuff, but it was hacked.
I also think the term, pegasister, is kind of insulting. I'm a member of #Female-Bronies and we find pegasister an insulting phrase and want to be called bronies.
